Banyana Banyana’s Jermaine Seoposenwe Braces for Tough Challenge Against Nigeria
Jermaine Seoposenwe, the striker of South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, has acknowledged the upcoming challenge against Nigeria as a tough one.
The African champions have set up a formidable final qualifying round encounter against the Super Falcons following their impressive 4-0 aggregate victory against Tanzania. On the other hand, the Falcons secured their spot by defeating the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon with a narrow lone goal margin over two legs.
Despite having a decent record against Nigeria in the past, Seoposenwe emphasized the difficulty of facing such a strong opponent. “There is still a lot to work on, and we are going to face Nigeria, which is a super, super tough opponent,” Seoposenwe stated.
Reflecting on the team’s goal of securing a spot in the Olympics, Seoposenwe highlighted the importance of learning from past matches and identifying areas for improvement. “We haven’t been there for the past one, I think. So yeah, that’s our goal, and I think everyone will go back and watch the game and see where we have to improve and what we need to do going forward,” she added.
The anticipation is high as both teams prepare for what promises to be a challenging and crucial qualifying clash.
