 The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended and is presently detaining Aisha Ahmad, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria responsible for Financial System Stability. She is being held in connection with alleged fraudulent activities related to the acquisition of shares in Polaris Bank, Titan Bank, and Union Bank. The DSS has initiated an interrogation process to ascertain the details of how Titan Bank managed to raise $300 million for the completion of the Union Bank acquisition.
