The United States has pledged an additional $163 million in humanitarian assistance to address the ongoing crisis in Sudan.  U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, made this announcement during her visit to Chad.  This funding comprises $60 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and nearly $103 million from the U.S. Department of State.  It reflects the United States’ continued commitment to supporting the people of Sudan and those affected by the regional crisis. In turn around event, Sanwo- Olu administration of Lagos State government has dissolved its Park and Garages Committee (LASPG) to allow the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to coordinate activities across motor parks and garages in the state. According to the monetary committee report of the Central Bank of Nigeria, it has been revealed that, the Apex debited  N216 billion from banks’ deposits in June. Prof. Adenikinju, a member of the MPC, disclosed the development in his personal report at committee meeting and said the deducted funds were statutory Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR).
