Police in Rivers State have launched an investigation into the death of a 200-level female accounting student at the University of Port Harcourt (UniPort). The student, identified only as Adaeze, was found dead in her off-campus apartment in Aluu, according to a statement by UniPort’s Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Chima Wokocha, on Monday. Wokocha said Adaeze’s neighbors discovered her body and transported it to the university’s health facility. Police and university officials visited the scene. A knife-wielding Palestinian assailant stabbed and seriously wounded a female Israeli soldier before being shot dead in annexed east Jerusalem on Monday, police said. The Association of Bureau de Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON) has cautioned currency speculators as the naira continues appreciating against the US dollar.
