The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday said over 5.4 million Nigerians are on the voter register for the Nov. 11 governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi states. The National Examination Council, NECO, has released the results of this year’s June/July Senior School Certificate Examination. In the examination, 61.60% of students were recorded to have scored five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics. The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi made the announcement at NECO headquarters while briefing Journalists in Minna, Niger State. The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday spoke on the the discrepancies in his Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) certificate. The Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Campaign Council has faulted the judgement of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, which disqualified the APC candidate, Timipre Sylva, from the November 11 governorship election in the State. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed three more banks for the collection of fees under the Nigerian Export Supervision Scheme (NESS). The banks are Coronation Merchant Bank Limited, Paralex Bank Limited and Lotus Bank. The appointment was approved by the minister of finance, budget and national planning. “Consequently, all authorised dealers are therefore enjoined to bring the information to the attention of the exporting customers,” a circular signed by W.J.
