The Senate on Tuesday dissolved into an emergency executive session after its Chief Whip, Muhammad Ali Ndume, complained about violation of rules in running the affairs of the Red Chamber. UK wages are outstripping inflation for the first time in nearly two years, according to official figures. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said that regular earnings rose by a near record of 7.8% in the three months from June to August. There was 0.7% higher with Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation taken into account. Revised figures from the ONS revealed that annual growth in regular pay excluding bonuses exceeded CPI inflation by 0.1% in the previous three months to July. The Federal Capital Territory High Court, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja on Tuesday dismissed the no case submission application filed by Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi. He has therefore been asked to challenge the homicide and domestic violence-related suit instituted against him by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation on June 3, 2022. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the World Bank’s $1.5 billion budget support. Senator Elisha Abbo, the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District has alleged that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio was behind his removal from the Senate. A set of conjoined twins delivered by medical experts at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) have died, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. The Chief Medical Director, LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, made this known in an interview with NAN on Monday in Lagos.
