Two persons have been reported killed and four others injured as a boat capsized in Isawo community, Ikorodu area of Lagos State. The Federal government has disclosed that pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS), are included as beneficiaries in the recently approved N25,000 conditional cash transfer as a part of measures to curtail the effects of the fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians. The acting Inspector General of Police, IGP, Olukayode Egbetokun, has directed medical personnel across the country to treat gunshot victims without asking for Police report. The National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal in Sokoto State, on Friday, dismissed the petition against the elections of Senator Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North). In a unanimous judgement read by the tribunal chairperson, Justice Josephine Oyefeso, on behalf of Justices Haruna Muhammad and Eke Eze, upheld the election and dismissed the petition for lack of merit.
