Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has promised that his administration would support the judiciary to overcome the myriad of operational challenges confronting it in the State. Nigeria accounts for the third-highest number of women and girls who have undergone Female Genital Mutilation, with an estimated 19.9 million survivors, two UN agencies have said. The UN agencies — the United Nations Children’s Fund and the United Nations Population Fund — also said 4.3 million girls are at risk of female genital mutilation this year and the number is projected to reach 4.6 million by 2030. Yam, onion, crayfish, pepper, tomatoes and Maggi sellers refused to accept cash transfers claiming they may fall into wrong hands.
