The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed the Enugu East Senatorial election earlier scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday February 25, 2023. The cancellation was sequel to the murder of the Labour Party candidate for the election, Barr. Oyibo Chukwu. The English Premier League leaders, Arsenal, have prepared to offer England’s sensational player, Bukayo Saka, a long-term contract extension valued at over £10 million per year. The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered a restriction of all forms of vehicular movement on roads, waterways, and other forms of transportation, from 12 am to 6 pm on Election Day. Ahead of Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the distribution of sensitive and non-sensitive election materials to the 20 local government areas of Ogun State. The Ogun State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Niyi Ijalaye confirmed this to newsmen in Abeokuta Thursday. President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Katsina State from where he would proceed to Daura, his home town to participate in Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.
