The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared winner of the 2023 presidential election. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Ebonyi State. Mr Obi polled over 75 per cent of the votes cast in the southeastern state. None of the other candidates polled up to 25 per cent of the votes cast in the state. Former Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, will take charge of the Benin Republic national team after signing a three-year contract. The Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi has won Saturday’s election in Imo State. Obi won in a landslide after polling more votes than the All Progressives Congress, APC, counterpart, Bola Tinubu; and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, flag bearer who came third. The state collation officer for the presidential election in Rivers State, Prof Charles Adias, has adjourned the collation of Saturday’s election results. Adias adjourned the collation of results in the state over alleged threat to his life by unnamed party supporters. The federal government has asked former President Olusegun Obasanjo not to “truncate” the ongoing electoral process in the country. The presidential election results are currently being collated in the federal capital territory (FCT). The results of some states have already been announced.
