The Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Association, Musiliu Akinsaya popularly known as Mc Oluomo has stopped the illegal collection of taxes by touts in some part of the states following a protest by commercial bus drivers days ago. United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for Nigeria, Matthias Schmale has said he is alarmed by the impact the continued conflict in the Northeast is having on vulnerable people. On Friday, Schmale narrated his visit to El-Miskin Camp in Maiduguri, Borno State, where about 7,200 internally displaced persons (IDPs) sought safety. “I was also saddened to see so many children out of school. Some candidates who sat for the 2023 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Board (JAMB) mock examinations scheduled for March 30 have expressed concern over some technical hitches experienced during the examinations. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent who monitored the examinations in some Computer Based Test  (CBT) centers discovered that while some centres had hitch-free sessions, some had some technical problems. At the Zinaria CBT centre in Maraba, candidates expressed satisfaction over the process saying that this showed the main examination would be hitch-free. Herve Renard was on Thursday appointed as the new coach of the France women’s football team after the sacking of Corinne Diacre, the French football federation announced. The Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Abayomi Salami today issued certificates of return to 25 elected members of the State House of Assembly. The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, on Thursday, approved the immediate dissolution of all his political appointees. According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, those affected are all Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Advisers and Technical Officers. The governor further directed the State Accountant General to ensure immediate payment of March, 2023 stipends to all the outgoing appointees. Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, arrested twenty one suspected internet fraudsters including two females in an intelligence driven operation at Agbowo, Akobo and Idi – Ishin areas of Ibadan, Oyo State.
