The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has urged Nigerians who applied for International Passports and are yet to collect to visit the passports offices for collection as backlog has been cleared. Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) launches Apapa-Kajola inter-city express train service. This is to help lessen the impact of petroleum subsidy removal on Nigerians by launching the Apapa Express, a rapid mass transit passenger train commuting along the standard gauge railway line. Negotiations were ongoing with a club psychologist on-site, while emergency services, firemen, and the military were involved in the operation. Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, has ordered immediate closure of Ladipo Market, Mushin, for several environmental offences including, reckless waste disposal, unhygienic premises, and non payment of waste bills, among others. Liverpool owner Fenway Sports Group has agreed to sell a minority stake in the club worth between £82m and £164m to global sports investment firm Dynasty Equity.
