The Police in Ogun State have arraigned the impeached Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state, Wale Adedayo, before a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Abeokuta, the state capital. Adedayo had accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of diverting statutory Federal allocations of all the 20 LGs in the state. He also petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking Abiodun’s probe on the allegations. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, restrained the Ondo State House of Assembly from impeaching the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, over alleged gross misconduct. Justice Emeka Nwite, in a ruling shortly after Aiyedatiwa’s counsel, Kayode Adewusi, moved the ex-parte motion to the effect. The judge also restrained Gov. Rotimi Akeredolufrom nominating a new deputy governor and forward same to the lawmakers for approval pending the hearing and determination of the substantive matter. The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has reviewed the school’s tuition fees, which were recently increased. The Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olanrewaju, in a statement on Monday, announced that the management has reduced the fees after a meeting held with the students. Governor Dauda Lawal, on Tuesday, said the Zamfara State Government has enough facts to expose the agents of the Federal Government behind the secret negotiation with bandits.
