The House of Representatives has invited the Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC) toward protecting the rights of late Mohbad’s songs and lyrics. This followed the adoption of a motion by Rep. Babajimi Benson(APC-Lagos) at the resumed plenary in Abuja on Tuesday. The Police in Ogun State have arraigned the impeached Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state, Wale Adedayo, before a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Abeokuta, the state capital. Adedayo had accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of diverting statutory Federal allocations of all the 20 LGs in the state. He also petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking Abiodun’s probe on the allegations. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, restrained the Ondo State House of Assembly from impeaching the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, over alleged gross misconduct. Justice Emeka Nwite, in a ruling shortly after Aiyedatiwa’s counsel, Kayode Adewusi, moved the ex-parte motion to the effect.
