Arsenal continued their preparations for the 2024/2025 season with an impressive 4-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Emirates Cup on Wednesday night.
The Gunners wasted no time, racing into a two-goal lead within the opening 10 minutes. Oleksandr Zinchenko opened the scoring, followed by a stunning piece of skill from Leandro Trossard to make it 2-0.
Gabriel Jesus added a third, showcasing the attacking prowess of Mikel Arteta’s side. Kai Havertz then got on the scoresheet against his former club, further extending Arsenal’s lead.
Although Adam Hlozek managed to pull one back for the Bundesliga champions, Arsenal’s dominance was clear throughout the match.
Arsenal will continue their Emirates Cup campaign with their next game against Lyon on Sunday, as they fine-tune their squad ahead of the new season.
