The Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nze Chidi Duru, announced that President Bola Tinubu has given approval to a strategic blueprint aimed at securing victory in the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.
Former House of Representatives member, Duru, shared details of the winning plan, as disclosed by APC National Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje during the meeting with Anambra State party leaders.
Duru conveyed this message during an event in Awka where former national auditor of APC, Sir Paul Chukwuma, donated 1000 bags of rice and N100 million in cash to executive members of the party at various levels in the state.
According to Duru, President Tinubu’s blueprint outlines a comprehensive strategy for success, and in line with this plan, APC National Chairman Ganduje is scheduled to visit Anambra State in January 2024.
During this visit, Ganduje is expected to articulate and communicate the winning plans, emphasizing the need for immediate ward-to-ward mobilization by party executives ahead of the crucial 2025 gubernatorial election.
As part of the preparations for the election, Ganduje intends to meet with all party supporters in Anambra, including those who may harbor grievances, to foster true reconciliation within the party.
Duru urged unity among APC members and supporters, emphasizing that solidarity is paramount for the party’s success in unseating the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) government in the state in 2025.
Commending Sir Paul Chukwuma for his generous donation, the APC State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, appealed to other affluent party members to follow suit. He noted that such gestures would not only strengthen unity among party members but also demonstrate that their interests are being prioritized even though the party is not in power in the state.
Ejidike emphasized the importance of winning elections for the relevance of a political party and assured that the executive would focus on increasing APC’s membership in Anambra State through extensive mobilization efforts.
Sir Paul Chukwuma, in addition to his financial contribution, revealed plans to enhance APC’s visibility in the state by financing the installation of billboards in strategic locations across all 21 local government areas ahead of the governorship election. He expressed his commitment to making contributions that promote the party and connect Anambra to the center through the APC, which he described as the most popular political party in Africa.
