APC Celebrates Aiyedatiwa’s Landslide Victory In Ondo Governorship Election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his resounding victory in the Ondo State governorship election, held on Saturday.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, commended Aiyedatiwa for his remarkable performance and the overwhelming support he received from voters.

Aiyedatiwa, representing the APC, secured a decisive win, with 366,781 votes. His nearest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, trailed significantly, garnering 117,845 votes. The results were officially announced by the State Returning Officer, Professor Olayemi Akinwunmi, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja.

Felix Morka praised the governor’s administration and campaign strategy, stating:

“Your Excellency’s resounding victory in the just-concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election is a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes, and campaign message of hope and consolidation have resonated deeply with the electorate.”

The APC expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s ability to build on the progress of his first term, highlighting his commitment to driving the social and economic development of Ondo State.

Morka also acknowledged the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies in ensuring a transparent and peaceful electoral process, saying:

“We commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for their professionalism and patriotism in the discharge of their constitutional roles during the election.”

The APC further extended gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their unwavering support, describing it as “highly valued and deeply appreciated.”

With this victory, Governor Aiyedatiwa embarks on a renewed mandate to continue delivering on his promises and advancing the progress of the Sunshine State.
