Angola defeated Namibia to set up a quarter final clash with whoever wins between Nigeria and Cameroon
Angola produced a fine outing as they ousted Namibia to qualify for the quarter finals and now awaiting the winner between Super Eagles of Nigeria and The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The first round 16 clash at the on going AFCON tournament produced a 3 goal victory for Angola.
With Gelson Dala scoring a brace in the first half despite going 10 men down early on in the 17th minute when Neblu recieved a red for an aggressive foul.
Gelson Dala produced a fine showing getting the opener in the 38th minute before adding the second in the closing stages of the first half to make the scoreline 2:0 in favour of Angola.
Following the second yellow card issued to Haukongo Namibia also got reduced to 10 men in the 40th minute.
Namibia despite having more possession of the ball couldn’t produce any significant issue for Angola and rather it was the Angolans who finished off a fine showing when Mabululu who was beautifully set up by Gelson Dala scored to seal their progression into the quarters.
