Algeria Football Association are looking to acquire the services of current Nigeria Portuguese Coach Jose Peseiro (Govima Sport Reports)
Jose Peseiro who recently led the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a second place finish at the just concluded AFCON Competition in Cote d’Ivoire is attracting interest from the North African side Algeria.
Despite having torrid time before the start of the competition, the Portuguese gaffer did enormous work to ensure that the Super Eagles finished in a respectable position.
His performance in Ivory Coast has drawn huge attention to him, as the Algerian Football Association has concluded plans to appoint him as the next manager of the Desert Foxes.
Former coach Djamel Belmadi was relieved of his position after the team failed to go beyond the first round of the competition.
According to the information coming out from the North African country, the football governing body of Algeria have an offer on the table for Peseiro. Believed to be a whopping $90,000 basic salary as against the $50,000 he’s been earning from Nigeria.
It remains to be seen if he will leave Nigeria as no response has been given to the Algerian FA.
Jose Peseiro’s future still remain unclear with the NFF yet to ascertain the contract solution of the Portuguese Coach.
