Al Nassr have qualified for the Asian Champions League group stage after producing a magical comeback in injury-time against Dubai based Shabab Al Ahli in Riyadh on Tuesday.
They were on the verge of exiting the competition safe for three quick fire goals from Forward Anderson Talisca and former Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic
Al Nassr drew first blood in the game on 11 minutes, when Taslica guided home a superb in swinger from a Brozovic corner. UAE champions Shabab Al Ahli responded seven minutes later through winger Yahya Al Ghassani slotting the ball home from a quick counter attack.
Ronaldo exited the game in the first half vexed about earlier proceedings and was seen venting on the referee . The Portuguese star and Al Nassr captain, believed he was denied of two clear penalties in the first half.
Then, one minute after game resumed, Al Ghassani again putting much trouble on the Nassr defence flicked the ball over Al Aqidi and put Shabab Al Ahli in front.
The Dubai based club were heading for a sweet victory with two minutes left on the clock when full-back Sultan Al Ghannam’s header was diverted into his own goal by Walid Abbas.
Nassr’s comeback was complete five minutes into the allotted seven minutes of injury time, with Talisca nodding home from close range. Moments later, as Shabab Al Ahli chased the equaliser, Ronaldo teed up Brozovic to drill his shot into the net and make safe the game.
