Al Nassr has decided to sign Cristiano Ronaldo’s choice of manager as a replacement for sacked Rudi Garcia.
According to WinWin Sports, via AS, the club wants to ensure that Ronaldo unites with Luis Enrique and the Saudi club has set its sight on the Asturian coach.
Enrique parted ways with the Spanish National team after the World Cup in Qatar and has been fighting hard to get a new job since then.
Enrique is still in line for the take of the vacant position left behind by the sacking of Graham Potter at Chelsea with the Blues expressing keen interest.
Notably, Ronaldo is said to have been pushing to reunite with Enrique while he was at Manchester United, but the club never made the move for the Spanish tactician.
Ronaldo’s Al Nassr recently swapped Rudi Garcia for Croatian Dinko Jelicic, the former manager of their U-19 team.
Jelicic’s debut saw a defeat at the hands of Al Hilal, leaving Al Nassr’s chances of securing the league title now hanging by a thread.
