In a bid to spread joy and goodwill this festive season, Airtel Nigeria has kickstarted the 2023 edition of its renowned community feeding initiative, “5 Days of Love.”
The telecommunications giant made the announcement at a press conference held at its headquarters in Lagos on Tuesday.
The longstanding program, now in its 9th edition, is set to provide nourishment to 6,000 individuals in six different locations across six states in Nigeria.
The selected states include Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Imo, Kwara, and Abuja. Airtel Nigeria has committed to distributing packed meals over five days to diverse groups, encompassing children, women, youth, and the elderly.
Mr. Femi Adeniran, Director of Corporate Communications and CSR at Airtel Nigeria, emphasized that the initiative goes beyond a mere distribution of meals. He explained that the “5 Days of Love” campaign aims to create an atmosphere of celebration and happiness within the communities where Airtel operates.
During the press conference, Adeniran stated, “We believe that little things can make a difference, and this is why at Airtel, we have committed ourselves to the act of sharing and celebrating this end of the year as good neighbors.”
Ifeoma Okafor-Obi, Director of Distribution at Airtel Nigeria, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company’s people-focused approach. Despite the challenging times faced by families and organizations, Airtel remains dedicated to its tradition of ensuring that the vulnerable in society partake in the festive season’s joyous experiences.
The “5 Days of Love” initiative is anticipated to create an electrifying atmosphere of fun, entertainment, and love as Airtel Nigeria continues to demonstrate its commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
