The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has revealed that they couldn’t sue movie producer, Adanma Luke, over the death of Junior Pope due to a clause in the contract Junior Pope signed.
The contract specified that only Junior Pope’s family or wife had the right to sue Adanma Luke.
The AGN President, Emeka Rollas, stated that the Guild’s legal adviser had reviewed the contract and advised that the AGN did not have the locus standi to sue Adanma Luke. Additionally, the AGN discovered that Junior Pope was not a due-paying member of the guild at the time of his death, prompting the AGN to consider licensing actors.
