A Huge Tasks Await The Djurtus

Action returns in Group A at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium In the on going CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire with Equitorial Guinea playing against Guinea Bissau before the host Nation Tackles Nigeria.

The Djurtus lost their opening game against host, Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire In the opening game of the AFCON tournament and Equatorial Guinea managed a point against West African side Nigeria.

A defeat against Equatorial Guinea will mean Guinea Bissau are without a win In their last 11 AFCON games, which will ultimately put them in a difficult situation and to worsen things, they have failed to score a goal as well in the last 8 games. Not so good a record I must say.

Leaving Juan Michá’ side on the other hand who are unbeaten In their last three AFCON group games as the favorites for this particular clash.

Equatorial Guinea’s main man is Iban Salvador. Who has scored or assisted In three different AFCON editions (two goals, one assist) since making his debut In the competition In 2015.
He will be very instrumental for his side In the game if they are to record a win.

Equatorial Guinea v Guinea Bissau

Date: Today 18th January

Match Venue: Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe
