AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Super Eagles Camp Opens with Seven Players.
The Super Eagles camp in Uyo has officially opened, with seven players reporting ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Among the early arrivals are team captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Ola Aina, all of whom are expected to play crucial roles in the upcoming matches.
Joining them on Monday morning were Olisa Ndah, Semi Ajayi, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, bringing the total number of players in camp to seven. These players will begin preparations under the guidance of interim manager Augustine Eguavoen as they aim to secure qualification for the prestigious tournament.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic and the Amavubi of Rwanda in their quest for a place in the 2025 AFCON, with the entire nation hopeful for a turn around in the campaign.
