The Acting Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olatubosun Oluyede, has led tributes to the late Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, describing him as a courageous leader and a dedicated patriot who gave his all in service to Nigeria. The Nigerian Army and the nation as a whole are in mourning following the passing of Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, a respected figure remembered for his professionalism and commitment to his country.
In a statement, Lt. Gen. Oluyede highlighted Lagbaja’s outstanding dedication, stating that his exemplary leadership and sacrifice would leave a lasting legacy in the military. “It’s a significant loss for us. He was a selfless leader, deeply passionate about Nigeria, and led the Nigerian Army with courage and integrity,” Oluyede said.
