The notorious Abuja’s kidnapper, Dahiru Adamu, has been apprehended by the FCT police officers.This was after the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, offered a N20 million reward for information leading to the capture of Dahiru and his accomplice, Abu Ibrahim.
Dahiru Adamu, identified as the ringleader of a notorious kidnapping syndicate operating within the Federal Capital Territory, had instilled fear among residents by his brazen acts of abduction and violence.
Confirming the arrest, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed that Dahiru Adamu was captured during a meticulously planned raid on two kidnappers’ camps situated on the border between Nasarawa and the FCT, near Kuje Area Council, on Thursday.
“The suspect was apprehended as part of a coordinated effort by the Command to dismantle criminal networks and ensure the safety of citizens,” stated SP Josephine Adeh.
Prior to his capture, Dahiru Adamu had been identified as the prime suspect behind several high-profile kidnappings and killings in the Federal Capital Territory. His arrest has brought a sense of relief and renewed hope to residents who have lived in fear of falling victim to his criminal activities.
