NFF Partners With with ValueJet As Official Airline Of National Teams.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially signed a partnership agreement with ValueJet, making the fast-growing airline the Official Airline of the NFF and the country’s national football teams. The partnership, formalised on Saturday at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, is set to enhance the teams’ travel experience as they compete on continental and global stages.

The Chief Executive Officer of ValueJet, Captain Omololu Majekodunmi, expressed the airline’s excitement about the collaboration, emphasising its commitment to ensuring seamless and comfortable travel for the national teams.

“We are happy at this historic development. Nigeria football has a storied history and a passionate fan base. By joining forces with the NFF, we intend to bring fresh energy to the game and provide seamless travel solutions for our national teams as they compete at home and abroad,” Majekodunmi stated.

He further highlighted the airline’s vision to support football development in Nigeria by offering innovative travel solutions, fan engagement campaigns, and community-driven initiatives. He assured that ValueJet’s expanding network and customer-focused approach would help the national teams travel efficiently and comfortably.

Strengthening a Proven Relationship

Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Chairman of the NFF Marketing and Sponsorship Committee, who represented NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, expressed his delight at formalising the partnership. He noted that ValueJet had already been providing excellent services to the Super Eagles for over a year.

“I am happy that we have formally consummated this partnership. ValueJet has been providing excellent services to the Super Eagles by flying them to away matches for about 16 months now. Players and officials have commended their operations, and the NFF is pleased that this relationship has now been sealed,” he said.

NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, commended ValueJet for its professionalism and dedication, particularly during the Super Eagles’ ordeal in Libya in October 2024, when the team was held hostage by local authorities during a 2025 AFCON qualifying match.

Looking Ahead

Both organisations share a vision of elevating Nigerian football to greater heights. ValueJet has pledged to continue supporting the NFF in its efforts to develop the game at all levels, ensuring that the national teams have reliable travel arrangements for international competitions.

The partnership signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both ValueJet and the NFF, including NFF Executive Committee Member Timothy Magaji, ValueJet’s Chief Commercial Officer Trevor Henry, and NFF’s Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen.

With this agreement, ValueJet reinforces its commitment to Nigerian sports, while the NFF secures a reliable travel partner for its teams as they pursue success on the global stage.
