President Tinubu To Attend Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025.
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to embark on a strategic visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to join the 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025). His trip, set from January 11 to January 16, aims to bolster Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic relations with the UAE while pushing forward the agenda of sustainable development.
The invitation for President Tinubu to attend this prestigious summit came from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The event, spanning from January 12 to 18, will serve as a global platform where leaders convene to enhance sustainable practices and foster socioeconomic advancement.
According to a statement by the Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu is poised to highlight his administration’s key reforms at the summit. His focus will particularly be on initiatives concerning energy sufficiency, improvements in transportation, public health enhancements, and economic development strategies.
In addition to participating in the summit, President Tinubu and his delegation are slated to engage in high-level discussions with UAE leaders to address mutual interests and challenges. This includes dialogues on how both nations can further collaborate on various fronts.
Accompanying the President will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, alongside other senior government officials, underlining the importance Nigeria places on this event and its outcomes.
The President is due to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, after what is anticipated to be a fruitful engagement in advancing both national and global sustainability goals. This visit not only underscores the commitment of Nigeria towards sustainable development but also aims at reinforcing the bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UAE.
