Netizens Drag Odumodu Blvck For Criticizing Jaywon’s Timeless Song “This Year”

Nigerian singer Odumodu Blvck faced backlash from netizens after mocking his colleague Jaywon for performing his 2013 hit song “This Year” in 2025.

Odumodu Blvck’s criticism was met with fierce defense from X users, who argued that “This Year” remains a relevant and timeless song. Some compared it to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas,” which is still widely played despite being released years ago.

Netizens challenged Odumodu Blvck to name a song from his own discography that has the same replay value as “This Year.”

Others took a more personal approach, with one X user mocking Odumodu Blvck’s appearance, saying that the shape of his head resembles a Lagos bridge.
