Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about the incredible story of how he got signed to Olamide’s YBNL record label.
In a viral video, the singer shared that it was all thanks to popular music producer Pheelz.
According to Adekunle Gold, Pheelz was instrumental in getting Olamide’s attention. After hearing his song “Sade,” Pheelz shared it with Olamide, who was blown away by the talent.
“I already knew Olamide before then, as I had designed the YBNL logo for him, as well as cover art for Lil Kesh and Vector,” Adekunle Gold explained. “But it was Pheelz who told Olamide, ‘You need to sign this guy!’ And that’s exactly what happened. Olamide called me, signed me to the label, and my life changed forever.”
