Jada Pollock, the talent manager and mother of Wizkid’s children, has expressed her frustration about being defined solely by her relationship with the Nigerian music star.
In a recent interview with BET UK, Jada shared her thoughts on the challenges of being labelled a “baby mama.” She recounted a particular moment when she released a statement celebrating the growth of Afrobeat following Wizkid’s Grammy win. However, blogs chose to label her statement with “Wizkid’s baby mama,” which she felt diminished her entrepreneurial efforts and dedication.
Jada emphasized that she is more than just Wizkid’s partner and mother of his children. She is a hardworking businesswoman and entrepreneur who has helped build a legacy in the music industry.
“I’m not only a mother but also a manager, and I’ve helped build a legacy,” she said. “The narrative does not recognize that you’re an entrepreneur and a hardworking businesswoman.”
Jada and Wizkid began dating in 2014 and have two children together, Zion and AJ. Despite her high-profile relationship, Jada is determined to establish her own identity and be recognized for her professional achievements.
