Dolph Lundgren has shared a welcome health update with fans, revealing that he is finally cancer-free after a grueling 9-year battle with the disease.
The Swedish actor, 67, took to Instagram to share the news, posting a video in which he revealed he was undergoing a lung ablation to destroy the last remaining cancer cells.
“Here I am at UCLA, I’m about to go in and get rid of that last tumor,” he said. “Since there are no cancer cells in my body anymore, I guess I’ll be cancer-free so I’m looking forward to this procedure.”
Lundgren reflected on his cancer journey, saying, “It’s been a rough ride and really taught me how to live in the moment and enjoy every moment of life. I mean, it’s the only way to go.”
The “Rocky IV” actor captioned the clip, “Finally cancer free with gratefulness and excitement for a bright future. Thanks for all your support always.”
Lundgren had revealed in May 2023 that he was battling cancer, sharing that doctors had found a tumor in his kidney in 2015, which was later found to be cancerous. Despite being given only two to three years to live, Lundgren has beaten the odds and is now cancer-free.
