Bolanle Ninalowo, a renowned Nollywood actor, has shared his parenting experience with his 18-year-old daughter, Aliyah.
In an interview with VJ Adams, he revealed how he navigated her requests to get pierced.
Initially, Aliyah wanted to pierce her tongue, but Ninalowo was uncomfortable with the idea. He understood her motivation, however, as she had classmates with tongue piercings.
When Aliyah asked to pierce her navel instead, Ninalowo agreed. His reasoning was that a navel ring could be easily removed if needed. More importantly, he wanted to build trust and assure Aliyah that he was supportive and always there for her.
Ninalowo reflected on his own childhood, recalling how he couldn’t express his desires to his father. He’s determined to foster a stronger, more open relationship with his daughter.
