Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has pledged to continue supporting Omowunmi, the wife of late singer Mohbad, amid controversy surrounding his death.
Mohbad died on September 12, and his body was exhumed for autopsy on September 21, sparking speculation and accusations against Omowunmi.
Iyabo Ojo emphasized her stance in a live session, stating she’ll support Omowunmi until proven guilty with concrete evidence.
She urged others to present evidence to authorities instead of speculating, stressing the importance of awaiting legal judgment.
“A lot of people are angry that I’m supporting Wunmi… Until the law proves her guilty, I will continue to support her,” Ojo said.
Ojo highlighted the potential consequences of rushing to judgment, emphasizing that apologies cannot repair damage caused by false accusations.
She called on those with evidence to take it to the authorities, rather than engaging in “side talks.”
