Ikorodu City Confirms Resignation Of Head Coach Bright Ozebagbe
Ikorodu City FC has officially confirmed the resignation of head coach Bright Ozebagbe following their defeat to Plateau United. The announcement was made through a statement on the club’s X (formerly Twitter) handle.
Ozebagbe had successfully guided the Lagos-based side to promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL) into the top tier of Nigerian football, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). However, his tenure in the NPFL has been marked by struggles, as the team has been unable to secure maximum points in their campaign.
The club expressed its appreciation for Ozebagbe’s contributions, particularly his role in the promotion, and hinted at a new chapter for the team as they look to regain form in the top flight.
Ikorodu City will now search for a replacement to steer the team through the remainder of the NPFL season.
