Sunshine Stars defender and captain, Sunday Abe, has officially announced his retirement from football, bringing an illustrious career to a close. Abe, a true legend of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), made his debut in 2006 and went on to feature in an impressive 17 NPFL seasons.
Throughout his career, Abe represented Nigeria at various levels, including the U17, U20, and U23 national teams, as well as the CHAN Eagles. His dedication and leadership both at club and international levels have earned him respect across Nigerian football.
As he says goodbye to the beautiful game, Sunday Abe leaves behind a legacy as one of the most consistent and accomplished defenders in NPFL history.
