The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that its staff has begun dismantling and re-erecting the collapsed Tower 16 at Gunduwawa Village in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
Recall that the collapse occurred after a trailer carrying a container crashed into the base of the tower, resulting in power outages across several communities.
In a statement, Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, confirmed that contractors have already resumed work at the site. The company assured that the tower installation is expected to be completed by August 22, 2024.
