Paris Saint-Germain Start Ligue 1 Campaign with Convincing Victory Over Le Havre
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) kicked off their Ligue 1 campaign in style, securing a 4-1 victory against Le Havre in their first competitive match since the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid. The match, held in Normandy, marked a strong start for the defending champions, who are adjusting to life without their former talisman.
PSG took an early lead just three minutes into the game, with forward Lee Kang-in finding the back of the net. However, Le Havre responded with an equaliser shortly after half-time, courtesy of Gautier Lloris. Despite this setback, PSG regained control of the match in the latter stages.
Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Randal Kolo Muani all found the net in quick succession, with Kolo Muani’s goal coming from the penalty spot, to ensure a comfortable win for the Parisians.
The victory comes as a statement of intent for PSG, who are adapting to a new era following the departure of Mbappé, their record goalscorer with 244 goals. Mbappé moved to Real Madrid in the summer on a five-year deal after his contract with PSG came to an end.
The result highlights PSG’s depth and resilience as they embark on their title defence, with several players stepping up to fill the void left by Mbappé.
