“The players that play for Arsenal, one of the best teams in the world, are very, very good. We have an outstanding team, with many players of incredible quality. The club has to have the best players to have a chance of being champions,” Martinelli stated.
He acknowledged the positive reaction from fans when new quality players join the team, recognising the role of Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta in making transfer decisions. “The fans are happy when quality players come who improve the team. It is Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta who decide on new signings – it depends on them. That issue is not our business. We have to work on the pitch and leave the signings to them.”
