Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has pledged that Russian troops will find no safe haven on Ukrainian soil amid the ongoing conflict.
In a statement posted on his X page, Zelenskyy highlighted the advancements of Ukrainian soldiers in countering Russian forces, particularly in the destruction of enemy infantry and armoured vehicles.
“Our forces continue to counter Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region, especially in Vovchansk and surrounding border areas,” Zelenskyy stated.
He noted that Brigadier General Mykhailo Drapatyi is overseeing this front and has been supplied with the necessary firepower and reinforcements.
Zelenskyy praised the efforts of Ukrainian troops, saying, “Our results are improving. We are destroying the enemy’s infantry and armored vehicles. I appreciate all of our warriors who strictly adhere to orders, hold their positions, and work tirelessly to stabilize the situation.”
The president pointed out that Russian forces are attempting to stretch Ukrainian defenses thin but assured that vital assistance and provisions are not being diverted from key areas such as the Donetsk region, including Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk directions.
He also emphasised vigilance in the Kupyansk direction and acknowledged enemy activities in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, including subversion groups and shelling, to which Ukraine is responding effectively.
“Our task is crystal clear: to thwart Russia’s attempt to expand the war,” Zelenskyy declared. “It is up to everyone in positions from Chernihiv to Vovchansk, Kharkiv to Donetsk, to fulfil it. The occupiers must not have a single safe location on Ukrainian soil or in our skies.”
Zelenskyy concluded by reaffirming Ukraine’s determination to ensure that Russian forces are defeated. “We must do everything possible to ensure that the occupier loses, not the Ukrainians.”
