Harry Kane Sets Personal Record with Goals in Bayern Munich Win
Harry Kane, England striker and Bayern Munich’s newest star, made headlines by scoring twice in their victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, setting a new personal record for goals in a season.
The 30-year-old has now netted an impressive 42 goals in all competitions during his debut campaign with Bayern, surpassing his previous best of 41 goals for Tottenham in the 2017-18 season.
Kane’s first goal came from a close-range finish after receiving a cross, followed by a successful penalty conversion in the second half.
This achievement also marks a milestone for Kane, as he has now reached a total of 400 goals for both club and country.
Remarkably, Kane has scored against 16 of the 17 other Bundesliga teams this season, equalling a record previously held by football legends Gerd Müller, Ailton, and Robert Lewandowski.
In his debut season, Kane has become the first player to score or assist against all 17 teams in the Bundesliga, demonstrating his versatility and impact on the pitch.
Despite receiving treatment for a knee injury during the match, Kane continued playing and remains six goals shy of Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals in a Bundesliga season, with three games left.
Bayern Munich currently sits in second place in the Bundesliga standings, trailing champions Bayer Leverkusen by 11 points.
Manager Thomas Tuchel’s departure at the end of the season has been confirmed, with Tuchel stating he will not be swayed by fan petitions urging him to stay.
