Rúben Amorim Denies Having Any Agreement In Place to become next Liverpool Manager.
Following some publications making the rounds that Sporting Lisbon manager Rúben Amorim has sealed an agreement with Liverpool to take over as their new manager, after the announcement made earlier by Jurgen Klopp that he will be stepping down in the summer, the Sporting boss as now cleared the air on the publications labelling them as false.
Rúben Amorim: “I did NOT meet Liverpool for any interview and there’s no agreement, it’s not true”.
“I’m Sporting manager, I want to win here and I didn’t meet any club. Nothing has been agreed”.
“Stop with this story. This is the last time I speak about my future”. He concluded.
Earlier in the month, Bayer Leverkusen’s Alonso confirmed he’ll be staying out at the German Bundesliga side, putting an end to the continuous links with the soon to be vacant Liverpool Job.
This confirms that the search for Jurgen Klopp’s successor continues and Liverpool will likely have to wait till the summer to ascertain who takes over from the German.
