Former Footballer emerged as NIS Students Union President.
In a recent election overseen by NIS Registrar Mr. Belmond Benson, former footballer Omefe Michael Kanayo has been elected as the President of the National Institute for Sports Students Union Government.
Kanayo, who boasts over 26 years of experience working with the Ministry of Interior in Abuja, was unanimously elected by a significant majority during the conducted election.
Having played professional football with Reformers FC Abuja until injuries forced an early end to his playing career, Kanayo has since transitioned into coaching with All Stars FC Kuje in FCT Abuja. Additionally, he holds an administrative role as the Vice President of All Stars FC, Abuja.
In his new role as President of the NIS Students Union Government, Kanayo has pledged to leverage his extensive experience to implement positive changes within the institution.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Kanayo is happily married with three children and enjoys hobbies such as football, reading, and traveling
With this new development he’ll be looking to settle in and make significant impact in his new role at NIS.
