In a recent court ruling in Seongnam, South Korea, actor Oh Young Soo, best known for his role in the global hit Netflix series “Squid Game,” was found guilty of indecent assault.
The charges stem from allegations of inappropriate behavior towards an actress in 2017.
The courtroom sentenced Oh to eight months in prison, with a two-year probation period, and ordered him to complete 40 hours of sexual violence education.
During the trial, South Korean media noted Oh’s subdued demeanor, with reports stating he kept his head lowered throughout the proceedings. Following the verdict, Oh quietly exited the courthouse, presumably to pursue his appeal.
Since news of the legal proceedings surfaced, Oh Young Soo has faced professional repercussions, notably being excluded from casting considerations for other projects. Additionally, his involvement in the case led to his role being edited out of an upcoming South Korean film.
