Nyima Nwagua, the captain of Nigeria Premier Football League side Rivers United, expressed confidence in their ability to clinch this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Following their 2-1 victory over Dream FC of Ghana, Rivers United advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition, affirming their potential to go all the way.
Speaking on the Tori Podcast, Nyima highlighted their hard work to reach the knockout stage and emphasized their determination not to underestimate themselves. He confidently stated, “We have everything it takes to win the cup.”
The draw for the quarter-finals is scheduled for March 12th, with possible opponents including Zamalek (Egypt), USM Algiers (Algeria), or RS Berkane (Morocco).
