Aruna Quadri Clinches Victory Over El Beiali Mohamed, Advances to Men’s Singles Final at African Games.
Nigerian table tennis sensation, Aruna Quadri, secured a resounding 4-0 victory against Egypt’s El Beiali Mohamed in the semifinal of the men’s singles category at the ongoing African Games in Accra, Ghana.
Quadri’s remarkable performance propels him into the highly anticipated final, marking his fourth appearance at the Games since his debut in 2011. His adversary in the upcoming final will be Omar Assar of Egypt, who triumphed over Diaw Ibrahima of Senegal in the second semifinal match with a 4-2 scoreline.
Having previously reached the final in 2015, where he narrowly missed the gold medal with a 3-4 defeat to Omar Assar, Quadri aims to clinch the coveted title this time around.
As Africa’s top-ranked player, he is poised for a formidable showdown against his Egyptian counterpart in the quest for gold.
