Tall striker Paul Onuachu has become the latest addition to the growing list of injured players in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad after suffering an injury in Trabzonspor’s league clash against Istanbul Basaksehir
Paul Onuachu join Both William Troost Ekong and Zaidu Sanusi, both who have been ruled out for the rest of the season, while Ola Aina is currently sidelined with an injury as well.
Trabzonspor faced Istanbul Basaksehir in the Mid-week Turkish league match, with Onuachu featuring in the contest before being substituted in the 68th minute.
Onuachu sustained a blow to the chest and was unable to continue playing, although Tranzonspor managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory.
The team’s medical staff has confirmed that the Nigerian international will undergo a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan to assess the extent of the injury.
The striker will be hoping it’s not something too serious so as to help Trabzonspor to finish well in the league.
