Following their impressive win against league leaders Lobi Stars, Sunshine Stars head coach Kennedy Boboye emphasized the importance of maintaining their fighting spirit and winning mentality.
The Sunshine Stars of Akure bounced back from a tough defeat in their previous match to secure a 2-0 victory over League leaders Lobi Stars in their matchday 22 clash at the Akure Township Stadium.
While reacting to the team’s performance, the head coach Kennedy Boboye told the media his men will keep fighting.
“I commend the players for their resilience, especially after the heavy defeat in Kano. Despite the setback, we rallied together and reminded ourselves that it wasn’t over,” Boboye stated.
“This win marks the beginning of a turnaround. Our focus now is to remain concentrated, keep fighting, and continue pushing forward to climb out of our current position. Winning games is our primary objective,” he added.
With this victory, Sunshine Stars climbed out of the relegation zone and currently sit in 15th place on the league table
