The Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC) in Kaduna State In a statement issued on Tuesday has issued a plea for government intervention in the wake of a series of brutal attacks on innocent citizens by bandits.
The recent incidents, which occurred in Kwassam, Kauru Local Government Area, and Gindin Dutse Makyali village, Kajuru Local Government Area, have left communities in shock and mourning.
Elder Bulus Dogara, the state chairman of the CNNC, voiced the organization’s distress over the barbaric killings, emphasizing the horrific nature of the attacks where some victims were burnt beyond recognition.
“Painfully, the Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC) expresses great sense of dismay over the recent barbaric killings of people at Kwassam, in Kauru Local Government Area and Gindin Dutse Makyali village, Kajuru local Government Area, of Kaduna State, by suspected bandits where some of the victims were burnt beyond recognition.”
Homes were razed to the ground, and essential possessions, including food supplies, were utterly destroyed, exacerbating the already dire circumstances faced by many residents.
The Congress urged both the federal and Kaduna State governments to promptly investigate these heinous crimes and ensure that those responsible face justice, regardless of their affiliations.
Additionally, they called for urgent humanitarian assistance to be provided to the affected communities.
