President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s plan to create 50 million jobs for Nigerian youths has nearly been actualized with the registration of two million businesses by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The Registrar-General and CEO of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, made the announcement at the event facilitated by Moniepoint in Abuja, chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite.
Magaji spoke about the CAC’s commitment to supporting the government’s economic revival plan and expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Moniepoint to foster growth in the MSMEs sector.
In response, Moniepoint Executive Babatunde Olofin reaffirmed their dedication to realizing the project in alignment with the administration’s economic agenda.
Minister Uzoka-Anite lauded the event as a landmark achievement, leveraging information technology to drive economic growth. Uzoka-Anite stated the importance of creating jobs to revolutionize the economy and explained how President Tinubu’s eight-point agenda focused on financial inclusion, poverty alleviation, and economic empowerment.
Furthermore, she pledged the government’s support for the project, recognizing its potential to create jobs and foster a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
