Legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is backing the club’s decision to poach Dan Ashworth from Newcastle United, according to report coming out of UK
Manchester United are looking to shake up the management team, as Dan Ashworth 52, set to become the Red Devils’ new sporting director.
Following the part acquisition of the Club by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is now in charge of football matters at Old Trafford, the British billionaire is looking to rearrange the structure at the club.
Omar Berrada has already joined from Manchester City, but Ratcliffe wants a sporting director to oversee all football operations.
And according to report Ashworth is United’s first choice and should he decide to leave Newcastle, the Red Devils will have to pay a significant compensation fee and wait for him to complete a prolonged period of gardening leave.
But, with Ashworth viewed as the best in the business, it will definitely worth the wait.
With a clear indication from Manchester United’s legendary Sir Alex Ferguson endorsing the move.
It’s only a matter of time before Ashworth takes over the helms of affairs at the Old Trafford stadium. We will keep our fingers crossed to observe how this particular one unfolds.
